November Collection Update
Hey, QLL!
We hope you’re doing alright these past few weeks. It’s been a very stressful time on our end, which is why this monthly collection update email is a little late. Fear not, queer library lovers. We aren’t going anywhere.
That leads us right into our curation for November. First up is that it is Native American Heritage Month here on Turtle Island. We put together a list of North American centered Native and Indigenous queer reads. Decolonization is a queer issue.
We also ended up putting together a curated list called Words for Resilience, Community Care, and Survival. If it happens that larger world events are weighing heavily on you this month, this list is there to remind you that you are not alone. The queer community has always fought for our lives and existence, and we have plenty of material to help us build the communities of care that we need. We will align with and uplift all marginalized communities with which the queer community intersects. All of them. There is no community in the world without queer people in it, so coming together is vital.
Take care of yourselves in the coming holiday season - we know it’s frequently a rough time of year for our community. We’re here for you, in your headphones and on your screens.
We love you very much, and we’re glad you’re here.
