Hey, QLL 

Happy New Year! 2025 has exploded onto the scene with lots going on, but your favorite queer digital library is holding steady. Now that 2024 is officially over, we can give you some of those awesome year turnover stats that we librarians find so satisfying.

Our total count of circulations for 2024 was actually 161,028, well over the 150,000 we were aiming for. That was spread out across 29,241 unique users. Each of those nearly 30,000 users, on average, each checked out 5.5items throughout the year. How does someone check out .5 of an item? I was an English major, so I assume the reason is math.

The collection itself currently sits at 2,715 unique items. We're really proud that we have been able to cultivate a wide collection of queer literature, information, and resources in this first full calendar year. We're excited to keep expanding the collection and to keep going deeper into all of the beautiful intersections the LGBTQ2IA+ community has with other community groups. There's no community that exists without queer people in it!

What are some of the other really cool things we did in 2024? Well, we were able to launch some American-produced and union-made merch through our partnership with Worx Printing and applied for (and won!) a couple of grants, but most of our ability to keep bringing you new books to read and listen to every month came directly from the generosity of your hearts. This year, we had over 4,800 individual donors. The average donation was $18. Your willingness to share your hard-earned dollars with us is what keeps us going, so thank you!
