October Collection Update

Fall is in the air, QLL!

Autumn is upon us again. It’s time to break out your long sleeve shirts and fill up a nice mug with spiced apple cider. October is a huge month for QLL. First thing on the docket is that it’s Queer History Month! You can explore our unique history in all its iterations across time with our QHM curated list. We threw in some historical fiction, too, because we have always been here

The first half of October is also the second half of Latine Heritage Month, which closes out on October 15th. There’s some excellent crossover of spooky fall titles, queer history, and Latine representation in the list if you want everything at once.

For more general October-spooky-reads, we’ve got a whole bunch of lists so you can pinpoint exactly what level of creep factor you’re interested in! We’ve got A Touch of the Gothic, if you like classic style scares. We’ve also got some queer & trans horror reads for adults and some for young adults. And if you’re more into the autumnal witchy aesthetic rather than getting your bumps goosed, we’ve got some cozier Halloween-y reads with our Witches, Black Cats, and Pointy Hats list!

But another great thing about October is that we are coming up on our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY later this month on the 23rd. Can you guys believe it? A whole YEAR of QLL already! It’s gone so fast, and we’re so grateful and overjoyed to build this library with you. We’re excited to keep this going for many years to come. Keep your eyes peeled for our One Year Anniversary Survey later this month - we’re excited to see how things have changed over the course of a whole year!

Happy haunting!
